The first video I saw when I was researching sun damage and what the eye cannot see on the skin was this video by Thomas Leveritt. Here is his Youtube channel and where I found the video. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCO10Ym-JxAfxefpu7oyY5LA
I found this video to be very informative as it gave me an understanding on how our skin can be damaged and yet we could have no idea. The public in this video were clearly shocked at what they were seeing on the screen when the ultraviolet light was put on them.
Here is the woman at the start of the video.
Here is the same woman under the ultraviolet light.
As you can see she clearly looks very different. Her skin is patchy and has spots where the sun has damaged her skin. From her facial expression you can also tell that she wasn't expecting to see this and may be slightly disappointed.
Another video that depicts this idea of what the naked eye can not see about the real texture of the skin is this video by Nivea.
This video is aiming to sell a product and represented slightly different information than the other as this video was showing just how well applying a layer of sun protection would protect the skin. One thing I liked about this video was the fact that you could see the image of the ultraviolet light next the the image of the normal camera lens, this mean that you could compare the skin there and then and didn't have to rewind the video to see the person before and after. This has given me the idea to add both elements of my blog together (the flawless skin and damage to the skin).
I now plan to put the images of the person in a before and after way, much like this video as this I think will lead the blog to look congruent and flow well.
